Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19/08/2026

Welcome to Held with Georgie. These Terms & Conditions apply to all infant massage group courses and one-to-one sessions provided by Held with Georgie.

By booking a session or course, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Held with Georgie

Held with Georgie provides infant massage group courses and one-to-one infant massage sessions for parents and primary caregivers and their babies.

Held with Georgie is an independent business and is separate from my role as an NHS midwife. While my experience as a midwife informs the support I provide, services offered through Held with Georgie are complementary and do not replace NHS care, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

I am trained as an infant massage instructor through the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) and am fully insured to provide my services through Balens.

2. Enquiries, bookings and payment

To enquire about an infant massage group course or one-to-one session, please complete the contact form on the Held with Georgie website.

I will then get back to you with availability and the next steps for booking.

Your place will be confirmed once payment has been received.

Prices are displayed on the website and are subject to change for future bookings. Any change in price will not affect a booking that has already been confirmed.

3. Group infant massage courses

Group courses take place over 5 sessions and are designed to give you the opportunity to learn infant massage techniques at a relaxed pace, while spending time connecting with your baby and meeting other parents and caregivers.

Each session will include demonstrations, time for you to practise the techniques with your baby, and opportunities to ask questions and share experiences.

Infant massage at Held with Georgie is always parent- or primary-caregiver-led. I will demonstrate the massage techniques and provide guidance and support throughout the session using a massage doll, but I will never massage your baby myself. This means that you remain in control of your baby's experience at all times.

You can pause or stop the massage whenever you or your baby need to. Babies are welcome to feed, sleep, cry, wriggle, cuddle and need a change of nappy during sessions. There is no expectation that your baby will participate in every part of every class.

You remain responsible for your baby throughout the session.

4. One-to-one infant massage sessions

One-to-one infant massage sessions take place in your own home, provided that your address is within approximately a one-hour drive of Brighton.

If you are unsure whether your location falls within this area, please contact me before booking.

One-to-one sessions allow you and your baby to learn infant massage at your own pace, in the comfort and familiarity of your own home.

As with group sessions, the massage will always be carried out by you, as your baby's parent or primary caregiver. I will demonstrate the techniques and provide guidance using a massage doll, but I will not massage your baby myself.

5. Health, illness and suitability

Before attending, you will be asked to provide relevant information about your baby to help ensure that infant massage is appropriate and can be taught safely.

Please let me know about any relevant medical conditions, injuries, recent procedures or other circumstances that may affect your baby's participation.

If you are unsure whether infant massage is suitable for your baby, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before attending.

For the wellbeing of all families attending group sessions, please do not attend if you or your baby are unwell.

If your baby becomes unsettled, tired or distressed during a session, you are always welcome to pause or stop the massage, feed, cuddle or comfort your baby.

Infant massage is a complementary practice and is not a substitute for medical care. If you have concerns about your baby's health or development, please contact your GP, health visitor, midwife or another appropriate healthcare professional.

6. Cancellation, refunds and missed sessions

I understand that life with a baby can be unpredictable. My cancellation policy is intended to be as fair and flexible as possible while allowing me to plan and keep courses running.

Group courses

Group courses are paid for in full at the time of booking.

If you are unable to attend an individual session within your booked course, please let me know as soon as possible. I will always do my best to offer a catch-up session, subject to availability. This may be within another suitable group or through another arrangement where possible. Catch-up sessions cannot always be guaranteed and are subject to availability.

If you are unable to attend the whole course, please contact me as soon as possible. Any cancellation or refund will be handled in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

One-to-one sessions

If you need to cancel or rearrange a one-to-one session, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.

With at least 48 hours' notice, I will always do my best to rearrange your session for another suitable date, subject to availability.

If you provide less than 48 hours' notice, the session may be non-refundable and may not be able to be rearranged. I will always consider individual circumstances, particularly where illness or an unexpected situation involving you or your baby has occurred.

7. If I need to cancel or rearrange a session

Occasionally, circumstances outside my control may mean that I need to cancel or rearrange a session. If I need to cancel a group session or one-to-one appointment, I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and will offer an alternative date where possible.

If an alternative arrangement cannot be made, you will be entitled to a full refund.

8. Safety and responsibility

The safety and wellbeing of you and your baby is my priority. You remain responsible for your baby at all times during a session. I will provide demonstrations, instruction and guidance, but you remain responsible for deciding whether to begin, pause or stop the massage based on your baby's individual cues. Please follow the safety guidance provided during the course or session.

If at any point you or your baby are uncomfortable with an activity, you should stop and let me know.

9. Professional boundaries

Held with Georgie aims to provide a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental environment for all parents and primary caregivers.

I will always work within the scope of my training, experience and professional responsibilities.

Although I am a registered midwife, services provided through Held with Georgie are separate from my NHS role. I cannot provide NHS care, diagnosis or treatment through Held with Georgie.

If you raise a concern that falls outside the scope of an infant massage session, I may recommend that you seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.

10. Insurance

Held with Georgie is fully insured through Balens for the services provided.

11. Privacy and personal information

I take your privacy seriously. Information you provide when enquiring, booking or attending a session will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Notice. This may include information relating to your or your baby's health where it is relevant to providing a safe and appropriate service.

Please see the Privacy Notice for further information about how your personal information is collected, stored and used.

12. Photography and social media

I will never use identifiable photographs or videos of you or your baby for marketing or social media purposes without your permission.

If photographs are taken during a group session, I will make this clear and will respect your decision if you do not wish to be photographed.

You are also asked to respect the privacy of other families attending sessions and not take or share photographs or videos of other parents or babies without their permission.

13. Respect and inclusivity

Held with Georgie is intended to be a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for all families.

I ask that everyone attending treats other parents, caregivers, babies and myself with kindness and respect.

14. Complaints and feedback

I want you to feel comfortable raising any concerns with me.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your experience with Held with Georgie, please contact me at georgie@heldwithgeorgie.co.uk

I will listen to your concerns and do my best to resolve them fairly and promptly.

15. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example if my services change or if there are changes to relevant legislation.

The most current version will always be available on the Held with Georgie website.

If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, please contact me at georgie@heldwithgeorgie.co.uk.
